PANews reported on September 25 that according to community user monitoring, both Circle and Tether have been frozen in response to the Bitget theft case. As of 13:00 today (UTC+8), Circle has frozen approximately 100,000 USDC; at 20:19 (UTC+8), Tether has further frozen 218,022.966977 USDT, involving the address 0xe07b…7d57. Monitoring shows that after attackers exchange stolen TRX into USDT in batches, they usually only stay at the control address for about 1 to 8 minutes, and then exchange it for BTC through Stargate or directly into THORChain. Therefore, Tether has a shorter freezing window for related USDT. At present, the remaining stolen funds have been converted into BTC, or are mainly held in the form of ETH, DAI, or XRP, and cannot be directly frozen by the token issuer; if the funds subsequently enter centralized exchanges, custodians, or cross-chain services that are still identifiable, they may still be intercepted through platform collaboration and judicial and law enforcement procedures.
